Dr Ye Liu

Dr Ye Liu is a Technical Director and Statistician in the Flood Management Group at HR Wallingford. Ye has over 17 years of experience as a professional statistician and currently leads the Data Science team which is responsible for building statistical models, uncovering insights, and developing data-based systems. Ye has served as the project statistician for numerous projects over a diversity of applications including flood risk management, marine / offshore engineering, asset management, public health and water resource. Before joining HR Wallingford, Ye was the Chief Data Scientist with a well-known catastrophe modelling company developing statistical models for flood-related insurance.
