Dr Kwangkyu Alex Yoo

Alex is a Senior Machine Learning (ML) Scientist. Alex completed his PhD in multi-fidelity probabilistic optimisation for composite structures at Imperial College London in 2021. Following his PhD, Alex served as a research associate in industrial ML at the University of Cambridge. Before his doctoral studies, he was a research engineer specialising in shipbuilding and offshore engineering at Hanwha Ocean in South Korea. His expertise lies in ML, multi-fidelity modelling, finite element analysis and optimisation under uncertainty. His work is widely recognised through a book, journals, conferences, patents, invited talks, commercial projects, and UK-funded research grants.
